The summer house is surrounded by custom built raised beds to help the children to learn to grow vegetables and a chicken coup, for the pupils to learn to care for the animals and sell the eggs.
All work was carried out by Shipshape Landscape apart from Electrical and plumbing aspects.
Welsh Assembly member, Darren Millar, cut the ribbon to officially open the Llandrillo Hub Centre in March 2015.
Through the year we also built an outside Design and Technology area next to their Art Studio, a large decked area from non slip boards and a phenomenal 4m x 2.7m castle custom built play house, with walkways leading to climbing wall, slides and a viewing area for the chicken coup.
For fun outdoor recreation the yard also now features a mud kitchen, decked pirate ship with climbing wall and tunnel, sensory path, a sand area with diggers and even a climbing wall hill made from 8 tons of spare soil!
