Ysgol Llandrillo yn Rhos

We were approached by Ysgol Llandrillo yn Rhos to construct a 9m x 3.6m summerhouse was built as the meeting place for the community as part of a community hub project.

The summer house is surrounded by raised beds to help the children to learn to grow vegetables and a chicken coup, for the pupils to learn to care for the animals and sell the eggs. All work was carried out by Shipshape apart from Electrical and plumbing aspects.

Welsh Assembly member, Darren Millar, cut the ribbon to officially open the Llandrillo Hub Centre in March 2015.

Through the year we also build an outside Design and Technology area next to their Art Studio, a large  decked area from non slip boards and a phenomenal 4m x 2.7m castle with walkways leading to climbing wall, slides and a viewing area for chicken coup.

For fun outdoor recreation the yard also now features a mud kitchen, decked pirate ship with climbing wall and tunnel, sensory path, a sand area with diggers and even a climbing wall hill made from 8 tons of spare soil!
